CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ENABLES SUPERIOR TEAM PERFORMANCE

Collective Wisdom Drives Mission Success

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ENABLES SUPERIOR TEAM PERFORMANCE

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT- eric miller.us/coach
Do you know how your culture is unique in a sea of businesses? If you don’t know the answer to that question, then you don’t have the clarity of your mission. Great leaders embrace the collective wisdom of the team that drives them towards the vision.

The people that we choose to work with is more important that the business systems that we use. Not having a culture of interdependence and yet a great system, can result in misaligned energy. Each team member should know “what” to do, “why” to do it, and “how” to lead themselves with an excellence response.

Continuous Organizational Improvement

Aligned teams that learn together can collectively uncover the blind spots that reveal strategies for optimizing the mission. Having a culture of continuous improvement will provide collective wisdom to help you problem solve during uncertain times in business. If this is so logical then why don’t most organizations do it? Because spending time in team meetings to learn together is inefficient. The results of these types of meetings can’t really be measured in the short-term. The evaluation of the time spent together learning, can only be measured in the long-term.

Know why you are superior at delivering your offering and your customers will demand that you grow and give them more of it.
As a Team Do You Learn Together?

For good reason, there’s a significant population of leaders that don’t like to spend time having meetings without an immediate result. Consider implementing bi-weekly leadership “strategy” meetings for the sole purpose of learning together.

  1. Choose leadership book to share. Designate a member of the team to choose a book that has fresh leadership ideas. Adding a concept to your system and making a small change can make a radical difference in the business performance. Other philosophies can uncover a root problem that has deterred growth. It takes a mature leader to make the decision in changing the organizational strategy. Relying on collective wisdom of the team can make that decision a little easier.
  2. Choose a leadership video to share. You might have leaders in your organization that prefer not to read. Mix it up and find a leadership video or TED talk to discuss.

In day- to- day business operations, your organization can become stale. Sometimes it takes an outsider’s viewpoint to see the obvious. Seek out the advice of an expert that doesn’t have bias about your organization. Consider partnering with a business coach or consultant.
