CREATE A BUSINESS CULTURE OF INTERDEPENDENCY

Leaders Are Committed to Synergy Not Misaligned Energy

CREATE A BUSINESS CULTURE OF INTERDEPENDENCY

CREATE A BUSINESS CULTURE OF INTERDEPENDENCY-ericmiller.us
As a great leader you have recruited the doers that have a strong disposition towards execution  maximizing your business impact in the marketplace. High performance teams have people with extraordinary clarity in their positions. At the risk of another writer using an athletic metaphor, sports team members are very clear about their role in the organization. They have aligned their energy to work together synergistically to help coworkers, when needed to accomplish a goal. The culture is interdependent as a result of the agreements between leadership and staff.

Reconnecting the Puzzle Pieces When They Become Misaligned

You’ve done a great job in creating an interdependent team. Business systems are running smoothly, customers are evangelists for your brand then “it” happens. Your team is happy and doing their job and you don’t know exactly why you’ve become so successful. Sound impossible? If yours is a culture that isn’t evaluating success and only the failures, it is totally possible.

Know Your - What – Why and How

Having business success is what every leader wants in their organization.  But if you don’t know “what” is making you successful and “why” you’re superior to the competition, then “how” will you be able to fix “it” when business takes a downturn? If you don’t know why something is working, you probably won’t know how to fit it.

As the visionary leader, you’ve created a culture of trust. This allows you to walk around to each department and observe what is being done well. You can then document the systems that run smoothly.

Have regularly scheduled meetings that realign the energies and teach the doers the behaviors that will be the -what -why- and how they are successful. As a leader it is our job to create an interdependency in the organization between employees, and between leadership and employees. If the players don’t feel the synergy, they won’t feel connected to the team and eventually become a team of one.
