GREAT LEADERS KNOW THE SECRET OF GETTING THINGS DONE

How to Tie the Mission to the Vision

GREAT LEADERS KNOW THE SECRET OF GETTING THINGS DONE

GREAT LEADERS KNOW THE SECRET OF GETTING THINGS DONE- eric miller.us
Magical business performance is the result of leaders knowing how to get things done. They are courageous in asking for uncensored information, so they can better evaluate the direction of the mission. Great leaders are mature and don’t take  criticism personally. They have the ability to listen aggressively to any negative feedback of team members and customers. These leaders assign responsibility to team members that can lead themselves that will then tie the mission to the vision.

How to Get Things Done
How to Tie the Mission to the Vision- eric miller.us
  1. Listen with purpose. First, remember who the most important stakeholders are in the action-taking, delivering on the company’s promise. It is critical that people know that expressing any negative feedback in a town hall style meeting will not be held against them. The purpose is to help you leverage your authority  so they can be more effective in their job. Great leaders are mature and have acquired the skills to listen with intent of hearing what is being said without prejudice.
  2. Enable the team to lead themselves. The acceptance of your vision is having stakeholders think that the mission is their idea. The more effective that you are in reinforcing your vision, the more effective you will be in managing. Leading is about getting things done with other people. Team members want responsibility in their job. The role of a great leader is to appropriately assign it.  Magical team performance is the result of servant leadership and where legendary customer service stories come from.
