HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN LUCK

ADOPT A SERENDIPITOUS MINDSET AND BECOME ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES
How to Make Your Own Luck

the first step towards getting somewhere is to decide you're no longer willing to stay where you are. #newmindsetacademy, #ericmiller
Do you know of individuals who just seem to be lucky in life?

They've always had it easy for them. Whether in school, at work, in their love or personal life.. things just always work out?

But the thing is..

It isn’t so much that they're forever winning the lottery or escaping high-speed accidents.. it's more that they seem to have an eye for the main chance and make the most of the unexpected.

In other words, they make their own luck.

SERENDIPITY AS IT’S CALLED IS SMART, ACTIVE LUCK

It’s when you see something in the unexpected and connect the dots. Something totally different from blind luck, which you can’t really influence.

Now, why is this important, or how is this useful you may think?

Since so much of our lives are influenced by the unplanned and the unexpected, it makes sense to capitalize on these moments.

Unforeseen events, chance meetings, and bizarre coincidences aren’t just minor distractions or specks of grit in our well-oiled lives.
The unexpected is often the critical factor or the force that makes the greatest difference in our lives.

Even in the rigorous world of scientific research, the power of the unexpected is often at play. Studies suggest that around 50% of major scientific breakthroughs emerge as the result of accidents or coincidences.

So the good news is that while it may seem that naturally curious people might possess this "serendipity mindset,” any one of us can consciously cultivate it!

How?

BUILD AN AWARENESS OF THE UNEXPECTED

creating an uncommon outcome requires that we do uncommon things, #mysuccessblueprint, #ericmiller
The idea is to see meaning in the unexpected, rather than see it as something anxiety-provoking. Everything that is unexpected is anxiety-provoking but it helps to reframe it into, “Oh that doesn’t need to be a threat.”

There can always be something beautiful in the unexpected, even if it doesn’t feel like it at the moment. If we can attune ourselves to the idea that the unexpected can be our ally, we can turn it into something if we connect the dots.

Cultivating Serendipity is first and foremost about looking at the world with open eyes and seeing opportunities others don’t. It’s not just about being in the right place at the right time and having something happen to us (blind luck), but rather a process in which we can be actively involved.

When we can start to see meaning in the unexpected, it can help turn mistakes into opportunities.

HOW TO ATTRACT MORE OPPORTUNITIES

Getting out of these disruptive times with our hearts and minds in sound order may not happen easily. We need more wise people to help lead during these times of great uncertainty.
