THREE THINGS THAT HIGH ACHIEVERS DO THAT MOST PEOPLE WILL NEVER DO
Connecting the Dots Between Vision, Mission and Goals
Have you ever wondered why people like Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos are able to accomplish so much? Do you want to know how you can also achieve greatness? If so, I have good news for you.
High achievers are not as different as you and me. That's not what sets them apart. What makes them special is the way they live their lives and go after their goals.
Just think about Elon Musk and how he's revolutionizing Space travel with this company, SpaceX. Look at Steve Jobs and how he was able to get Apple up from the ashes and make it a billion-dollar company. How are they able to make things like that happen? What's so special about them? They are clear about what they value the most (Vision). What sparks joy (Mission). What they specifically want to achieve (SMART goal)
HOW ORDINARY PEOPLE ACHIEVE LEGENDARY STATUS
#1 THEY KNOW WHAT THEY VALUE THE MOST
They are clear about what they value the most. Each one of these leaders frequently re-evaluates what is most important to them and build organizations in alignment with their highest values. As a result, these high achievers have high confidence in themselves and endless motivation to successfully achieving their goals.
Have you ever achieved a goal, and didn’t get the result that you really wanted? One of the most significant reasons is that you were pursuing a goal that wasn’t in alignment with what you value the most.
What do you value the most in life? In other words, what is most important to you?

#THEY KNOW WHAT SPARKS JOY IN THEM
Purpose-driven people all have in common that they are crystal clear about what is most important to them and create values that guide their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Each one knows their highest value, (their vision) and they also know what sparks joy in them (their mission). They have all successfully identified their specific natural talents that allow them to do their genius work.
The missing link for me in creating well-formed outcomes was in knowing what sparked joy. The combination of not being current on my values and about what sparked joy created a lot of frustration and inner conflict. How could I possibly do my genius work without having clear values and what sparked joy in me? Often times I self-sabotaged my efforts in goal achievement.

#3 THEY KNOW SPECIFICALLY WHAT THEY WANT
High-achievers do not just dream about "doing great things" one day. Instead, they have dreams and take massive action with specific goals they want to achieve. They know what they want and are willing to do whatever it takes to get it.
Let's take Steve Jobs for example. When Steve Jobs came back to Apple as their CEO, he had only one goal in mind: To make his company the tech leader it once was. He was so determined to do this he was even able to ask Microsoft (his fiercest competitor) to help them.
If there's something high-achievers have is focus. When they define what they want, all their actions are focused on that very thing. And they work relentlessly to get it. Usually, these goals are fairly big. How does it sound to make mankind an interplanetary species? That's Elon Musk's goal. He says he plans to send 1 million people to Mars by 2050. And he works relentlessly to achieve it.
