Some people build businesses. Others build movements. Eric Miller did both but only after life unraveled in a way that forced him to rebuild from the inside out.
For years, Eric chased success the way most people are taught to through ambition, achievement, and relentless effort. From mowing lawns at thirteen to leading business ventures, serving as a U.S. Army aviator, and launching companies, he knew how to create results. What he didn’t expect was how quickly life could strip away identity, relationships, and certainty. Addiction, loss, and grief weren’t part of the plan. Neither was questioning his faith or purpose. But when everything familiar fell apart, something deeper began.
Eric realized what many leaders secretly feel but rarely admit success without inner clarity is exhausting. Building something meaningful requires more than strategy or willpower; it requires wholeness. And wholeness isn’t found by pushing harder it’s found by listening inward, healing what’s been ignored, and allowing something sacred to shape the way forward.
That realization sparked what would eventually become Allied We Can a movement built around one radical idea: we don’t have to agree to care about one another. In a world fueled by division, Eric chose another path helping people have honest conversations without losing their humanity. Through writing, speaking, podcasts, and civic initiatives, Allied We Can is calling people back to empathy, courage, and truth. It’s not about winning arguments; it’s about rebuilding trust.
But transformation doesn’t happen on a stage it happens in the quiet, personal places of the heart. That’s why Eric founded New Mindset Pathways, a space for spiritual direction, healing, and inner formation. It’s not therapy. It’s not teaching. It’s the sacred work of helping people notice where God—or wisdom, or stillness is already present in their lives. It’s for those who are burnt out from religion, tired of performing, or simply longing for something more real.
Spiritual direction is less about finding answers and more about discovering better questions. It’s a one-on-one conversation centered on listening to your life, to the whispers beneath the noise, and to the movement of the Divine in ordinary moments. Eric doesn’t fix, diagnose, or preach. He walks alongside. He helps people discern where they are, what they desire most deeply, and what invitations might be unfolding in their lives. It’s for those who are deconstructing faith, rebuilding it, or holding it together by a thread.
Some journeys aren’t meant to be walked alone. In group spiritual direction, three to six people gather in a sacred rhythm of silence, listening, and gentle sharing. There’s no debate, no advice just a shared commitment to hold space for one another and pay attention to the presence of God together. People speak only when ready. Others listen with compassion, not correction. In a noisy world, it becomes a rare place of belonging.
Spiritual coaching was born out of a simple reality some people aren’t looking to deconstruct or explore theology; they’re trying to make sense of real life in real time. Spiritual coaching helps bridge that gap. It’s practical and forward moving, where conversations explore purpose, decisions, emotional patterns, and how faith meets everyday life. Instead of diagnosing or directing, Eric helps people align their values, inner life, and actions so they can lead, love, and live from a grounded place.
Not everyone heals or grows alone. Group spiritual coaching creates a shared space where 4–6 people gather to explore life’s questions together—relationships, leadership, calling, resilience, and doubt. It combines spiritual wisdom with practical coaching tools, while still honoring silence, reflection, and compassion. It’s different from group therapy or Bible study there’s no fixing, no preaching, no hierarchy. Just honest conversation, accountability, and companions committed to living with intention.
