HOW TO EXPERIENCE MORE JOY AFTER ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS

HOW TO EXPERIENCE MORE JOY AFTER ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS

Refresh What You Value the Most and Get What You Really Want

How to experience more joy after achieving your goals, #newmindsetacademy, #ericmiller, #refreshyourwhy, #refresyourwhyonpurpose
Have you ever achieved a goal, and didn’t get the result that you really wanted? One of the most significant reasons is that you were pursuing a goal that wasn’t in alignment with what you value the most. What do you value the most in life? In other words, what is most important to you? Values are defined as “A person's principles or standards of behavior; what is important in life.”

Experience more joy after achieving your goals when you refresh your values on purpose.

BECOME CURRENT ON YOUR VALUES DURING TIMES OF MASSIVE UNCERTAINTY
We are being propelled into a massive change unlike that of any other time in history. What we hold as most important is challenged, and for many, this creates limiting beliefs and a lack of self-confidence.

Purpose-driven people all have in common that they are crystal clear about what is most important to them and create values that guide their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

What we value emotionally, in life guides our path. We can work against our values because we are unaware of what they are from a conscious point of view. Without self-selecting our own values, we can allow others to select them for us. The effects can result in living a dissatisfied life and experiencing great inner turmoil.

It is important that we re-evaluate what’s most important to us, otherwise known as our values on a frequent basis. During times of massive uncertainty, we should re-evaluate our highest values on a monthly basis. It is also very important to re-evaluate values before setting any new major goals.

Consider these two questions that will help you to uncover what you value the most. Ask yourself these questions as many as fifty times to uncover what you value the most. Don’t rush the process. Make your list and revisit it.

1. What are the most important things in my life?

2. Over the last month to 3 months what has been important
To me?

Choose the top three values. Then ask yourself how these values relate to your current behaviors. What new behaviors need to be put in place that will allow you to move towards what you value the most?
POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE VALUES
Most of us consider values as something positive that we want to have. We also have negative values on what we don’t want. Many people focus on what they don’t want, and their energy flows towards it.

We create self-talk on both the positive and negative values that form rules in how we experience them. I have found that positive value rules are much stricter than the rules for negative values. Many people that have easy rules for experiencing negative values are more prone to anxiety, fear, and depression.

We all know that goal setting is very important. But setting goals that conflict with our innermost being can be ineffective in getting the outcome that we really want.

Purpose-driven people all have in common that they are crystal clear about what is most important to them and create values that guide their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

BREAK YOUR OWN RULES AND GET WHAT YOU WANT

We establish rules that guide how we feel. For example: some may have a rule that says that they won’t be happy unless someone tells them that they look happy a certain number of times. Others may have a rule that says that they will remain uncertain unless they have a surplus of money to purchase a truckload of toilet paper and canned goods.

Rules to be happy are often established that make it very difficult to be happy. Rules that we form to feel secure and certain also can be made too difficult to achieve.

TAKE POSITIVE ACTION NOW
Beliefs - Values & Rules
Many people hold the values and beliefs of someone else sacred. Reevaluate your values and make sure that they are still what is most important to you. You might be surprised that your beliefs might be modified. You will then have the opportunity to create NEW rules that will enable you to appropriately experience both positive and negative values.
